Neo Star reaches Overnight Allowance
Neo Star, a four-year-old bay colt, romped to his fourth-consecutive victory at the races on Saturday, November 4, 2023, and trainer Peter-John Parsard couldn’t have asked for more from his charge.
Neo Star was successful in a native-bred four-year-old and upwards (non-winners of four) and imported four-year-old and upwards (non-winners of three) going 7 furlongs (1,400m).
Neo Star made his debut on August 26, finishing second by 4 1/2 lengths to Premier Identity over a 5-furlong (1,000) straight course. Since then, the Neolithic – Angel Dreams progeny has excelled in his next four races.
On September 9, the far-striding colt broke his maiden travelling 6 1/2 furlongs (1,300m), winning by 8 1/4 lengths in 1:23.4. Neo Star then went up to the non-winners of two groups and breezed past competitors at 7 1/2 furlongs (1,500m), winning by 8 1/2 lengths in 1:35.4.
Neo Star continued to defy the odds as he climbed the ladder, winning by a length in the non-winners of three level over 7 furlongs on October 15. Neo Star completed the race in 1:29.0.
On Saturday (November 4, 2023), Neo Star outbattled competitors to maintain his winning run. Neo Star, ridden by renowned jockey Dane Dawkins, waited behind opponents for most of the race until making a strong push in the stretch to reclaim the lead.
Neo Star got up in time to beat Gracefully Made (Raddesh Roman) by a neck at the wire. Posing Already (Phillip Parchment) finished in third place with the final time recording at 1:27.2
Neo Star will now race at the Overnight Allowance level.
