Dancehall artiste Munga Honorable is upbeat about his just concluded tour of Europe.

The multi-date trek which began in mid-September ended on November 2.

“It’s always great touring that side of the world, seeing the outpour of love that the fans have for me and my music, sold-out shows backed by energetic well-received performances. But as we all know the culture is different, and there are different time zones — I think it’s a seven-hour difference — different climate, much colder than what we are used to, but music takes us to places like these and it’s part of what we do as artistes,” Munga Honorable shared in a recent interview with the Jamaica Observer.

The tour which included stops in Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands, saw the artiste performing several club dates.

Newcomers Nadg and Tollolive were among the opening acts on the trek. There were two separate shows that included performers Capleton and Tommy Lee Sparta.

“It was an extensive tour; we were in Europe for 51 days and we performed at numerous clubs across multiple countries. At times the clubs had capacities ranging from 500 to upwards of 2,000 patrons. We also did shows in France, Netherlands, and Germany on two separate occasions each,” said Munga Honorable.

He added that this was his fourth time performing in Europe.

“This was my fourth time in Europe. Each time I tour that part of the world it offers a different scenario as I now enter with a different level of experience. Compared to my first time in Europe, this time I entered with a different expectation or viewpoint which allowed me to have a different approach.”

The Flipping Rhymes deejay shared a highlight of the tour.

“The highlight of the tour, for me, is to see the great reception that I continue to receive in the European market and the ability to perform for my fans in that region. It was also an honour to perform alongside my mentor Capleton,” he disclosed.

Munga Honorable also spoke about the type of audiences that came out to support the shows.

“Even though we are performing in Europe, fans travel from across other continents, including Africa, to attend these shows. There was a large support of Ghanaians present at most of my shows and I look forward to performing in Ghana very soon.”

The artiste’s current songs include In Vain, Paranoia, and 50 Caliba featuring Bounty Killer and he told the Observer that he is looking forward to a busy performance schedule locally, which started with Momentum Reggaeton Festival on November 11 in St Ann.

His forthcoming performances include Rum Rules on November 18 in Kingston, and Legends in Action on December 15 in Buff Bay, Portland.
