Bus driver shot dead in St Ann
ST ANN, Jamaica – A bus operator was found shot to death in his vehicle in a community named Golf in Steer Town, St Ann Sunday morning.
The dead man has been identified as 60-year-old Paul Campbell from Priory in the parish.
It was reported that around 9:30 am, residents heard loud explosions and summoned the police.
On arrival, lawmen saw Campbell sitting around the steering wheel of a blue Toyota Hiace with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to his head and the left side of the abdomen.
Police said the body was clad in a blue plaid shirt, khaki-coloured short pants and black slippers.
The scene was processed, and the body was removed to the St Ann’s Bay Hospital, where Campbell was pronounced dead. It was later transported to the morgue, pending a post-mortem examination.
No motive has been established for the killing, the police said.
