Clarendon College through to Champions Cup semis
KINGSTON, Jamaica—Clarendon College outscored St George’s College 3-1 at the National Stadium in Kingston on Tuesday to book the final spot in the semi-finals of the ISSA Champions Cup.
It was the first loss of the season for St George’s College as Clarendon College extended their unbeaten run to join other qualifiers Kingston College, Hydel High and Glenmuir High who won earlier in the day.
Two late goals decided the contest after Clarendon College came back from an early goal to tie up the game at 1-1.
Jindu Powell headed St George’s College into the lead in the eighth minute but Justin Hayles pulled Clarendon College level four minutes later.
An opportunistic goal from Kaheim Dixon in the 84th minute, reacting first to a block from goalkeeper Jaedon Thompson, gave them the lead before Tedane Williams added another in time added.
Clarendon College will face Hydel High in one semi-final while Glenmuir High and Kingston College will meet in the other semi-final.
