Three accidentally shot by Beryllium guard at NCB in Portmore
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – Three people, including two women, were shot at the National Commercial Bank in Portmore, St Catherine on Thursday morning after a gun belonging to a member of a Beryllium security team accidentally discharged.
Observer Online understands that sometime after 10:00 am, members of a Beryllium security team went to the institution to load the automated banking machines.
It’s reported that the firearm of one of the guards accidentally discharged his weapon, hitting the three customers, who were standing in front of the bank.
They were shot in the legs and were rushed to hospital.
The area is now cordoned off by the police. However, banking activities are still continuing with customers being directed to a different entrance into the institution.
