Wall Streetz Records hope to bring back ‘good ole days’ with Memories riddim
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Wall Streetz Records has been steadily making moves on the production side of the local music industry. Still, hoping to establish itself as a ‘go-to’ label on the entertainment scene, Wall Streetz recently released their Memories riddim. Though the project only has two artistes voiced so far, the aim is to get more entertainers on the riddim to get it the traction it needs to soar to the pinnacle of the industry.
“The Memories riddim was inspired by the title track which is a song that will take you back to the good ole days,” a representative from Wall Streetz Records told Observer Online. “Music today doesn’t have the same vibe it used to. It doesn’t give you the mesmerising feeling you used to get once upon a time and as a label we just wanted to bring that back.”
Indicating that the two songs on the project have been receiving rave reviews so far, Wall Streetz Records said it hopes more artistes will want to voice on the riddim once it gains some more traction.
“So far we have two artistes on the riddim, King Chaps and Dillgin and people are loving the songs from these two artistes. Listeners say it makes them feel good again because the songs take them back to days when music was fun and when you could just rock and hold a vibes,” the rep said. “I know artistes today are more into what is hype but I hope they can give this production a shot and reach out to be a part of it. Good music will live on forever because of how it makes people feel and this riddim is one that will produce those kinds of songs.”
The representative said that with the feedback the riddim has received so far, once more artistes are added to the project, “the sky is the limit.”
“We just looking for the best possible outcome for the project and that the fans will love and appreciate every tracks. Everyone is saying the timing of the riddim is right and it give a good feeling of love,” the rep said. “These are the kinds of projects we need in the industry to remind people that music should leave them feeling good all the time.”
