New Year’s baby welcomed at Cornwall Regional

Cornwall Regional Hospital has welcomed its first baby born in the year of 2026.

Devauney Vernon Jr, a healthy baby boy, arrived at 12:32 am Thursday, weighing 2.67 kg and measuring 47.5 cm.

His proud mom Daina Johnson of King Street, Montego Bay, was all smiles as she began her New Year journey with her newborn.

Devauney was delivered by registered midwife Kemicka Bartley, with registered midwife Hermine Levy Letman as nurse in charge.
