STETHS continue ISSA Rural Area U14 defence
HANOVER, Jamaica — St Elizabeth Technical will continue the defence of their ISSA/Burger King Under-14 title when they take on Rusea’s High in Lucea on Monday, as the quarter-final of the rural area junior competitions get underway.
Four games — two in each group in both age groups — are down to be contested on Monday as well as Thursday, and the final games are set for next Monday when the semi-finalists will be decided.
Mannings School and Holmwood Technical are the only schools with teams in both sections.
STETHS will face Rusea’s High in one Under-14 Group A game while Denbigh and Green Island High will meet in the other. In Group B, Glenmuir High meet Clarendon College and Mannings School take on Holmwood Technical.
A new champion will be crowned in the Under-16 section after STETHS failed to get past the second round. Petersfield High and BB Coke will meet in one Group A game with Central High and Holmwood Technical meeting in the other.
In Group B, Mannings School meet Manchester High while Kemps Hill face Maldon High.
