Glenmuir defeat KC to set up all-Clarendon final in Champions Cup
Glenmuir are through to the final of the ISSA Wata Champions Cup after a 5-3 penalty shootout win over Kingston College at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex on Tuesday.
Glenmuir opened the scoring in the 13th minute, thanks to a long range effort from Brandon Wallace.
KC responded just three minutes later as Dujuan Green’s strike levelled the game at 1-1.
Both teams pushed for a winner but were unable to break the deadlock, sending the game to penalties.
In the resulting shootout, Glenmuir converted all five of their penalties while KC’s Jaheim McLean saw his effort saved which saw Glenmuir advance to the final.
Just like the Dacosta Cup, it will be an all-Clarendon final between Clarendon College and Glenmuir for the Champions Cup, set for this Saturday at the National Stadium.
