Trailblazing Entertainment offers a hand to at-risk youth

TRAILBLAZING Entertainment, an initiative led by attorney and entrepreneur Ron Young, is stepping up its efforts to inspire resilience and foster positive change in the lives of at-risk young boys and girls.

The company has received support from Red Stripe and Scoops Unlimited to purchase copies of The Power of Pain: My Breakthrough, a compelling book authored by Andrew Folkes, which it is seeking to place in the hands of hundreds of thousands of at-risk youth and students, their parents, counsellors and supporters.

According to Young, this collective effort reflects a shared commitment made possible through the recent support from the influential corporate entities.

Young said Trailblazing Entertainment is committed to fostering positive change in the lives of young individuals.

He said the entity is a unique brand and talent management agency focused on clients and initiatives that may positively impact Jamaican society.

The latest initiative by the company aims to create a platform for authors like Folkes, whose personal narratives inspire resilience and personal growth.

“Our goal is to positively change the mindsets of at-risk youth before they become hardened through repeated direct engagement and positive reinforcement focusing on removing the stigma associated with boys speaking about their emotions and mental struggles, conflict resolution, decision-making skills, respect for the opposite sex, personal grooming and changing mindset, mental strength, confidence and resisting negative influences,” said Young.

“Trailblazing Entertainment is committed to empowering and uplifting the next generation, and we are grateful for the support of Red Stripe and Scoops Unlimited Limited. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of young individuals,” added Young.

Through Trailblazing Entertainment Folkes recently participated in a series of engagements at the Metcalfe and Rio Cobre correctional facilities and at a Red Stripe townhall forum for responsible drinking, where he was a panellist.

“I am honoured to be a part of Trailblazing Entertainment’s mission. Through the power of storytelling, we can inspire resilience and transformation in the lives of young men and women,” said Folkes.

Metcalfe is a beneficiary of the ‘WeTransform Youth Empowerment Programme’ under the Ministry of National Security, with whom Trailblazing has developed a partnership on various like-minded endeavours.

This outreach effort aims to inspire, motivate, and provide valuable insights into overcoming challenges.
