Chukka Caribbean, Island Village collab to offer day pass experience in St Ann

ST Ann, Jamaica – With news emerging that some major hotels have temporarily discontinued day passes for the holiday season, Chukka Caribbean Adventures and Island Village, St Ann have forged a partnership to provide families seeking festive getaways during Christmas and new year with a day pass experience.

Family members will be offered adventures by Chukka along with a treasure trove of amenities on the beach at Island Village, for a fulfilling day.

“First of all, you will not be charged a fee to enter Island Village,” Khristina Rose Chukka’s marketing manager emphasised.

Family members can book adventures like zipline and tubing at White River Valley, Dunn’s River Climb and Zipline over the falls; Chukka Party Catamaran Sail and Snorkel; and Seville Horseback and ATV Experience at the tour and concierge desk at Island Village.

“If you are in for the Appleton Rum tasting…if you are in for Jablum coffee…if you are in for any of our Chukka tours….you can book it right there at our hub/outpost…right there in Island Village,” Rose said.

She noted that in addition to the Chukka offerings, there’s so much to do inside the Island Village Plaza “that would take up your entire day.”

Open to the locals and tourists for over 20 years, Island Village has been re-imagined to be a destination offering a mix of shopping and experiences, where visitors can browse through a variety of stores offering everything from local crafts to international brands.

“The Fun Zone is free for children, who can enjoy the splash pad, lawn games or look for turtles and fish in our pond. After a bit of retail therapy, guests can indulge in the culinary delights at an array of restaurants, each serving up a taste of the local and international cuisine. The beach at Island Village, with its pristine white sands and inviting waters, is an ideal place to relax and soak up the Jamaican sun,” Chukka said in a release.

“Chukka complements these free amenities with its unique experiences. The Discover Jamaica Destination Film immerses you in the island’s culture, the Village Challenge Course adds an element of fun and competition, and the Village Gift Shop and Boutique offers charming resort wear and souvenirs. The Appleton Rum Tasting and Jablum Coffee Tasting sessions are perfect for those looking to savor the flavors of Jamaica”.

The experience starts early and goes throughout the day.

“We go right up until you say when. There’s entertainment all through the day. You come for breakfast, stay for dinner, and there’s a lot of things to do in between. You can leave and come back. You come here, you eat, shop, explore, just have fun,” said Andrew Reid of Island Village.
