KINGSTON, Jamaica — One reveler will be chipping down the streets with Xodus Carnival in April having walked away the winner of the ultimate ‘Xodus Xperience.’

The grand prize which was part of a number of giveaways attached to their 12 Days of Christmas promotion which ended on Christmas Eve.

According to a release on Thursday, the winner, Phillippa Smith, will receive an Envy costume, a Carnival Glam Hub makeup and photography package, four months free gym membership from Express Fitness, and an Xodus season band.

Smith won the promotion after sharing a 15 seconds video on Instagram, detailing what she is looking forward to the most on the road with Xodus come April 7. The win is even more special, as it will be Smith’s first time jumping at carnival.

“I decided to participate in the Xodus Xperience because, after attending their band launch I manifested jumping with Xodus one day. I entered the giveaway two times prior to entering the final challenge on day 12, and I’m super elated to have won,” she shared. “My costume is already chosen and I even have it saved as my screensaver, and I’m already preparing for the other events, Fete Gala Tailgate and Remedy. Words cannot express how happy and excited I am to be jumping with the biggest and best band in Jamaica.”

Shanique Hayden, marketing manager at Xodus Carnival, said her team wanted to spread some joy during the Yuletide season. She was speaking at the recent ‘Xodus Xperience’ handover where she expressed that the “12 Days of Christmas giveaway really allowed us to strengthen our bond with our Xodus Family, and helped us to create new bonds with prospective revellers.”

“We are happy that we were able to facilitate this campaign and I look forward to feteing with all the winners at our pre-carnival fetes, and of course, on the road come April 7.”

The promotion ran from December 13-24, 2023 and saw revellers winning 2 Xodus costumes, 8 Xodus Remedy tickets, 8 Xodus Tailgate tickets, 1 small backpack upgrade, 1 large backpack upgrade, 2 Xodus season bands, 1 Tailgate car pass, 2 Xodus T-shirt packages, 2 Envy T-shirt packages and the ultimate prize, the ‘Xodus Xperience.’

With Road March day only three months away, the Xodus carnival calendar is packed with fetes during Carnival week. From April 3-6, Xodus will be hosting its Fete Gala, Tailgate and Remedy, culminating with Road March on April 7, 2024.
