Granville look to hit back in Sandals Major League

MONTEGO BAY, St James — Granville United will seek revenge against Heights FC when they meet in a Zone A game at the UDC Field on Thursday when the second round of the St James Football Association/ Sandals Resorts International Major League gets underway.

The second round was originally set to resume earlier this month but was pushed back a few weeks.

On Friday, Flanker FC are to take on Green Pond, while two games are set for Sunday.

Heights started the season with a win over Granville United and won their next game over Wadada United before drawing their next two. Heights have fallen to third place in the table.

Granville, meanwhile, have been unbeaten in their three games since that loss, winning two and drawing the other. They have scored nine goals, the most by any one team in the zone.

Granville United have scored eight goals in their last two games, 4-0 wins over Green Pond SC and Wadada United. They will hope to extend their winning run this afternoon.

Renaldo Clarke, Dane Franklin and Andrew Tate have all scored twice for Granville United and will be going up against a Heights FC team that has conceded eight goals in four games and six in their last two outings.

After their bright start, Heights have fallen off and will hope they can rebound today or they could fall further down the points table.

Jevar Maxwell has scored in three of their four games so far and they hope he will be able to continue getting goals, if they are to stay in the hunt for a semi-final spot.
