Jay Z, J Cole, among guesses as fans try to figure out Sumfest’s next act
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Just over a month after organisers revealed that RnB superstar Babyface would herald a return of international acts to the Reggae Sumfest stage, another ‘big-named’ act has been added to the much-anticipated lineup.
But festival goers will have to wait a while longer before actually learning who the artiste is.
With just a silhouette of the entertainer posted to Reggae Sumfest’s official Instagram account on Friday, it’s still anyone’s guess who the freshly added act will be. The post was made just over an hour ago and already more than 100 users have commented with their pick on who the performer will be.
Jay Z, J-Cole, Popcaan, Squash and Rygin King are among the names being dropped in the comments.
With Jay Z being arguably pulling the most guesses, users say if Downsound Entertainment’s boss, Joe Bogdanovich manages to pull HOV for ‘the greatest show on Earth’, it is a must-attend event.
Sumfest is set to take place during the week of July 14-20. In addition to Babyface, legendary reggae crooner Beres Hammond has also been booked for the show.
Festival organisers have also revealed that dancehall veteran Bounty Killer will be honoured through a special musical tribute this year.
