Success, winning and achieving greatness the focus of this Sunday’s All Woman Vision Board workshop
GUEST speaker Norma Williams is raring to go this weekend, as she offers women insights on bringing their visions to reality, at the All Woman Vision Board workshop.
Williams, a certified coach, human performance expert and customer experience specialist, will guide attendees at the event, scheduled for 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the AC Hotel in St Andrew.
“Women can this weekend expect a centring of intentions, understanding the importance of focusing their minds on success and winning, and achieving the greatness that they are destined for,” Williams said.
“So they need to come with a mind of intention, they need to be focused on the fact that they can achieve what it is that they want, but first of all they have to believe…”
Vision boarding is a creative process where individuals create a visual representation of their life targets, ambitions and objectives, using images, words and symbols. It allows people to chart a course for the future they envision, while enhancing a positive mindset. So whether you’re looking for a new career, looking to travel, looking to be more spiritual, or even to further your education, this type of manifestation will help you clarify and define your goals by visually representing them, making it easier to understand and articulate your aspirations.
“The critical thing about it is that you have to be willing to put in the work, to prepare to receive whatever it is that you want out of life. And then we’re gonna talk about just focusing the mind on the manifestation of the different things that you want,” Williams promised.
Williams underscored the tenets of vision boarding for individual aspirations.
“So understand that whatever it is that you want, you’re going to have to do some work to prepare yourself for receiving that; and that work could possibly be, if it’s a job, you may have to start preparing yourself in terms of doing courses or whatever it is that you need to do for receiving that job.”
She added: “It’s not as simple as just putting a picture on a sheet [of canvas] and then it counts…it is about focusing the mind and being intentional about receiving this thing. The view is that the universe is waiting to reward you for what you’re destined to get.”
Also excited for the session that will enable women to achieve their goals for 2024, are sponsors Scotiabank, who will be leading a financial wellness session during the event; and Chas E Ramson Limited, distributors of Foska Oats and Elle & Vire.
“Scotiabank is pleased to join with the
Jamaica Observer on this empowering initiative for young Jamaican women. As a financial institution, we always have a keen interest in supporting any activity that promotes holistic well-being — including financial planning — and so we commend the organisers for their foresight in putting together this event which will provide an opportunity for the women in attendance to proactively put plans in place to support their goals for a successful future,” said Danielle Savory, public affairs and communications manager.
Meanwhile, Director of Sales & Marketing at Chas E Ramson Kathryn Silvera, said the distributor is very pleased to be able to participate in this first empowerment event for the year.
“It’s important for us to showcase not only the health benefits of our products, but we like to participate in any event that is envisioning a good future for women, and for all of us indeed,” Silvera said.
The event is also sponsored by AC Hotel and Seprod (Serge and Eve).
It is tailored to women who are eager to visualise and manifest their desired life outcomes, and Williams will lead participants in defining their objectives, dreams and ambitions for the future.
Williams said personally, vision boarding has proved to be very effective in her own life, and it’s something she knows really works.
“I can say this from personal experience. I remember during the pandemic, the
Observer had done something where they said, ‘Don’t waste the pandemic’… hoping something good would come out of it. For me, what came out of the pandemic was my deepening of belief in terms of vision boarding, because it gave me some quiet time to centre myself, and that is where I focused on my own personal intentions, my visions for my life, my visions for my business, and that is where I started the focus on manifesting what really was my destiny and the fact that I was really wasting my time kinda sleeping on my own intentions.”
She continued: “The focus on my intentions was extremely deliberate, putting the necessary work, doing my additional courses, and allowing the universe to reward me. And it happened! So I know for a fact, and I’ve seen it in the lives of others that I’ve worked with.”
