Causion prepares to release new song, ‘Miss Music’

Following a productive 2023 in which he released several songs and made his acting debut in a movie, Causion is preparing to launch his 2024 campaign in a mellow mood.

Miss Music is the name of a lovers rock song he plans to release soon. The Antiguan singer made the disclosure shortly after it was announced that he is one of five artistes nominated for Florida Entertainer of The Year at the International Reggae And World Music Awards (IRAWMA), scheduled for March 22 at Lauderhill Performing Arts Center in South Florida.

Code Red Band, Visions Band, Sons of Mystro and Yosefus are the other artistes nominated for that category.

“It is always a great feeling to be recognised by your peers for your works. Music has been a big part of my healing, this just tops it off. All my life as an artiste, there’s times I have asked myself should I go on and then something happens and gives you hope. Like I said healing, music has a way of doing that when you least expect it,” said Causion.

Last March, the South Florida-based vocalist made his acting debut in the Antiguan movie, Deep Blue. In June, he released the EP Mission in Progress, which includes Antigua Me Come From, a song used to promote his homeland’s tourism product.

Five months later came the release of Caribbean Vacation, Causion’s collaboration with keyboardist Maurice Gregory and veteran deejay Red Fox.

The video for that song, also used to promote Antigua as a tourist destination, has reportedly drawn over 450,000 views.

Voting at irawma.com will determine winners of IRAWMA which celebrates its 41st staging this year.
