Families seek answers after teens’ fatal motorcycle crash amid alleged police chase
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica — Law enforcers are currently meeting with the families of the teens who were killed in an alleged motorcycle chase in Little London, Westmoreland on Friday night.
Tension is still high in the community, as the residents and families of Tareek Frazer and Javian Black continue to search for answers in relation to their deaths.
It is alleged that the accident was a result of a police chase.
According to some residents, the teens were chased by the police, who allegedly hit their motorcycle, which then collided with a tree. But, according to the police’s Corporate Communications Unit, at about 8:45 pm, Black and Frazer, who were both travelling on a Cheetah motorcycle, collided with a motorcar that was travelling in the opposite direction.
The police report continued, “The driver of the motorcar fled the scene. Another motorcyclist, who was travelling in close proximity, was also injured in the incident. All three cyclists were taken to hospital where Frazer and Black were pronounced dead. The injured driver was admitted.”

Since the incident, police have been keeping a high presence in the area.
