#Champs2024: Excelsior’s Miller one to beat in Class 1 boys’ 100m final
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Excelsior High’s Damor Miller clocked a lifetime best of 10.39 to headline the semis of the Class 1 boys’ 100m at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships on Wednesday.
Miller won semi-final one ahead of Calabar’s Khamani Gordon (10.40). Herbert Morrison’s Deandre Daley, who won silver in the event last year, time of 10.56 was not enough to advance to the final.
Raheem Pinnock of St Jago (10.43), Hector Benjamin Jamaica College (10.44) and Steer Town’s Omarion Barrett (10.52) are the top finishers in semi-final two.
From semi-final three, Shaquane Gordon of Calabar High registered a lifetime best of 10.43. Lennon Green of Excelsior High clocked 10.44 for second while Yourie Lawrence Clarke (10.49) finished third.
The final of the Class 1 boys’ 100m will take place on Wednesday at 8:28 pm.
