Hurricanes 50-2 chasing 187-run target vs Scorpions

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Leeward Islands Hurricanes were 50-2 at tea on Friday chasing 187 runs for victory against Jamaica Scorpions in the fifth-round regional first-class match at Sabina Park.

Scores: Scorpions 221 (68.2 ovs) & 196 (62.3 ovs); Hurricanes 231 (58.3 ovs) & 50-2 (20 ovs).

Opener Mikyle Louis is not out on 23, while Justin Greaves is on 18.

The Scorpions off spinner Peat Salmon has claimed both wickets to fall.

Earlier, the Scorpions began the third and penultimate day from their overnight score of 59-4 in the second innings and went on to score 196, giving them a lead of 186 runs.

Abhijai Mansingh top-scored with 52.

Pacer Jeremiah Louis and spinner Rahkeem Cornwall took 3-24 and 3-56, respectively.
