GG sends ‘warm wishes’ to Princess of Wales following cancer revelation
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Office of the Governor-General of Jamaica has extended its sincere thoughts and warm wishes to Her Royal Highness, the Princess of Wales, following the announcement of her recent health diagnosis.
In a news release on Tuesday, the Office said Governor General Sir Patrick Allen, on behalf of the people of Jamaica, expresses “profound empathy and fervent hope for Her Royal Highness’ swift and full comprehensive recovery.”
“We stand in solidarity with Princess Kate during this challenging period. Her remarkable and exemplary strength and selflessness, even in the face of personal adversity, serve as an inspiration to us all,” the release read in part.
The statement further shared that the country’s collective thoughts and prayers are with the Royal Family during this period as they “navigate this trying time together.”
Catherine, Princess of Wales, on Friday announced that she has cancer and is in the early stages of chemotherapy, asking for “time, space and privacy” as she completes her treatment.

In a video revelation that went viral, Princess Kate said the discovery of cancer, after successful abdominal surgery in January, was “a huge shock” but she was “well and getting stronger every day.”
