Two arrested after stolen cows found in truck in Manchester
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Two men were arrested after they were found with two stolen cows in a truck in Mile Gully, Manchester on Friday night.
A police source said about 8:30 pm, the men – ages 21 and 27 – were aboard the truck when they were signalled to stop during a roadblock by cops.
During an inspection of the truck, police reportedly found two cows, one of which was dead.
Police said their checks revealed that the cows were stolen from a nearby district in Mile Gully.
Nine people have been charged in relation to praedial larceny offences in Manchester since the start of this year.
