Three:23 Projects builds from concept to implementation

Operated by a female entrepreneur in a male-dominated industry, Three:23 Projects was formed to improve spaces and the quality of lives in those spaces as it supports real estate developments from concept to implementation.

Founded in 2018 by Kamille Jackson, a chartered civil and structural engineer and realtor with over 20 years of experience, the company emerged from a twinning of passions following a harmonious coming together of the entrepreneur’s love for building and her desire to help people in making their lives and surroundings better.

The company’s name, Jackson said, reflects her God-centred approach to life primarily inspired by Colossians 3: 23 [NIV] which says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”

“Three:23 Projects Limited is a consulting firm for civil and structural engineering, and third-party real estate services which allows me to create a space for positively impacting young engineers while using my building and construction expertise and Christian principles to successfully execute a range of projects. We employ a holistic approach in assisting our clients to realise their vision in a feasible and cost-effective way,” she said to the Jamaica Observer in outlining the nature of the business grounded in the philosophy of excellence, integrity and purpose.

“Whether persons are looking to buy or build their dream home, renovate, or take on commercial or institutional building projects, Three:23 Projects is able to support from concept to implementation.

“We offer structural design, civil design, structural inspections, project management, feasibility studies, real estate services through our third-party affiliate, and support services along the spectrum of ideation straight up to the handing over of keys,” she told Sunday Finance.

The company in partnering with a number of other industry professionals including architects, construction teams, and regulators, Jackson said, works to create designs that can withstand external forces such as natural disasters and to ensure the structural integrity of buildings.

Operating from a physical office within the Constant Spring area in Kingston, the company services clients’ islandwide.

Providing service for a number of government ministries and agencies such as the HEART/NSTA Trust, Three:23 Projects also now works with growing list of companies including: Jamaica Pre-Mix Concrete, VM Wealth and the JMMB Group.

“Our main clients are mainly the everyday people of Jamaica who want to build a home, or create a development. With the use of cutting-edge design software supported by the team’s creative approach to solutions along with their understanding and appreciation of the natural and built environment, our project outcomes are more than just engineering solutions — they are solutions for a better experience with maximum consideration for environment and purpose,” Jackson said, noting the

Pleased with the growth of her company in its almost six-year lifespan, the entrepreneur said she continues to be amazed by the quality of work that her small team, sometimes supported by satellite staff when necessary, is able to get done.

“Our team stands as one of our greatest achievement. Watching the team grow and mature both technically and as individuals has been fulfilling, also seeing our finished projects improve the lives of people, for me remains unmatched,” she said.

Now focused on reaching its decade-old milestone, the company is bullish on taking its operation to new levels, motivated by strong ambitions and goals that sees it surpassing current earnings as it grows the client base and tap into new markets.

“We understand the value of continuous learning and so we are investing heavily in that. Over the years we have been putting in the work and this year we are poised to see increased earnings of about 10 times that of our usual profit, or more. We plan to continue serving Jamaica and the wider Caribbean through specialised teams as we create more value for niche projects. We want to impact the community while improving people’s lives and that of the built environment,” Jackson said.

“As we grow our technical team and support service personnel, our aim is to deliver value for money and to offer stellar service to our clients. In the coming years our goal is to develop special projects installation and concierge property services teams as well as a foundation to deal with our philanthropic endeavours in times when we give back to the community,” she said of the outlook.
