Reggae Boyz qualify for Unity Cup final after beating India 2-0
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz qualified for back- to- back finals in the 2026 Unity Cup after beating debutants India 2-0 in their semi-final played at the Valley, the home of Charlton Athletics, in London on Wednesday.
In Saturday’s final Jamaica will play defending champions Nigeria who had beaten Zimbabwe by the same scoreline on Tuesday.
Jamaica had lost in the finals to Nigeria in 2022 and 2025.
On Tuesday, Courtney Clarke scored on his debut, firing Jamaica ahead in the eighth minute before Kaheem Dixon, playing in his home stadium, secured the win when he scored in the 78th minute.
Clarke, who was handed his debut along with teenage defender Odin Samuels-Smith, dribbled into India’s box, on the left side and curled a right footed shot into the far corner past goalkeeper Sandhu Gurpreet Singh.
