44-year-old licensed firearm holder charged after allegedly shooting man twice
KINGSTON, Jamaica— A licensed firearm holder was charged with the wounding of a man during an argument on Berkley Avenue in Kingston on Monday, February 19.
Charged with wounding with intent and using a firearm to commit an offence is 44-year-old Raymond McPherson, a haulage contractor of Berkley Avenue.
Reports from the Elletson Road police are that about 8:10am the complainant went to the address on Berkley Avenue to deliver items when McPherson’s vehicle was blocking the path.
An argument developed between the men when McPherson allegedly pulled a firearm and shot the complainant twice. The man was assisted to the hospital where he was treated.
An investigation into the incident was launched and McPherson was subsequently arrested and charged, after a question and answer session in the presence of his attorney.
A court date is being finalised.
