Décor

The Lemongrass Tea Room is quaint, tiny and very cosy. Beautifully laid-out with loose leaf teas all in identical jars and displayed in an extremely orderly fashion. This definitely enhanced the experience for me. Loved the old world essence of the décor. The three quaint tables with chairs gave a down home, family feel. The tea cup display…beautiful.

Customer Experience

The customer experience was eight out of 10, prompt, responsive and warm but not overfamiliar. The server asked me what my tea style was and allowed be to ‘nose’ some leaves to help me choose which was best for me. I chose Forever Fruit…Amazing! She checked on me periodically and her attention was easy to get. She was very knowledgeable even though she stated that she was only there for a few months.

I’d never had this tea before. Wonderful. There was such a wide variety with the medicinal benefit of many teas clearly displayed.

Pastry/Sandwich Selection

The selection of pastries and sandwiches was inadequate. I score them five out of 10 for the selection and seven out of 10 for the walnut scone that I had). They did not advertise Afternoon Tea so I wondered if Lemongrass was just an all round tea house, boasting a wide selection of loose leaf teas and not too focused on tea ceremonies. This thought was bolstered by the fact that they were so knowledgeable on the health benefits of the teas.
