Vershon’s Zip It Up lands big on iTunes

Dancehall superstar Vershon has made strides in his career with his latest single Zip It Up.

Not only has the song been performing well around the world and receiving airplay on various radio stations, but the official music video, which was released on May 10, 2024, has been racking up huge views on YouTube and has now debuted on the US iTunes Reggae Music Video Chart at #1 and #10 overall in the US among the likes of Childish Gambino and Miley Cyrus.

Zip It Up closed out its début day at # 5 overall, surpassing Taylor Swift and Megan Thee Stallion.

Vershon could attribute his recent success to the support system he has around him, especially in Jenelle Alexia of A’Legends, who is running point on the promotion of Zip It Up alongside the marketing team at Ejor Media Group.

Zip It Up, released on April 19, is a co-production between Cashflow Recordz and Vershon’s Real Queffa Records.

It was distributed by 21st Hapilos Distribution and was instantly a hit due its dedication to the late great dancing icon Gerald Levy, renowned as Bogle and Mr Wacky.

The official music video features some of Jamaica’s finest dancers, including Mr Wacky’s protégé Boysie, as well as Colo Colo, Marvin Di Beast, Energy, and Pata Skeng.

Vershon is currently in Florida gearing up for a promo run and for a performance on Memorial Day weekend.
