Sashi came back with a bang, says promoter
The Sashi Experience team has extended its heartfelt thanks to its patrons and media partners for what it says was a successful staging of the event in May.
“Sashi came back with a bang and it’s all thanks to our patrons and partners. Your incredible support and energy were felt throughout the entire Sashi Experience, which was held at Plantation Cove, St Ann. We are truly grateful and humbled by the enthusiasm and joy that was brought to each of the events,” Sashi Festival founder Horatio Hamilton said.
Hamilton heaped praise on the patrons who still attended the festival and had a good time despite the last-minute cancellations of Busta Rhymes and Keyshia Cole.
“While we experienced some unexpected adjustments and hiccups, your flexibility and spirit ensured that the experience remained vibrant and was the highlight of our gatherings,” Hamilton said.
“Your understanding and patience as we navigated those moments is truly appreciated. To our incredible patrons who stayed throughout the night for our Sashi Live experience, your energy was the pulse that helped to make the night a success,” he added.
Hamilton also thanked the festival’s ‘dedicated performers and crew.
The main Saturday night showcase featured standout performances from Bounty Killer and Tifa as well as rising stars like Valiant, Skeng, Bayka, Rajah Wild, and 10 Tik, who ignited the crowd with their infectious energy and hit songs. The comedic duo of Negus and Bobby Sox kept the audience entertained between sets, while Refugee Sound provided a pulsating soundtrack throughout the night.
International stars Neyo, Jada Kiss and Wyclef Jean also captivated the audience.
Hamilton said that the Sashi Experience team is “excited and eager to build on this experience and have already started the work to enhance every aspect of the festival moving forward”.
“Your continued support and feedback is the lifeline that keeps us motivated and is so vital as we strive to celebrate the legacy and culture of Sashi,” Hamilton concluded.
