Section of Barbican Road closed due to shooting

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police are currently redirecting traffic along Barbican Road following the closure of a portion of the road due to a fatal shooting incident.

Circumstances around the incident are not clear at this time but unconfirmed reports are that a crime scene between Sovereign North shopping mall and Orchid Village is now being processed.

Motorists are being encouraged to use alternate routes until further notice.
