Police charge man who allegedly stoned woman in argument
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A man who threw stones at a woman and then later threatened her with a firearm following an argument has been charged by the police.
Charged with assault at common law and possession of prohibited weapon is 26-year-old Oshan Thomas otherwise called ‘Smiley’, a labourer of Third Street, Trench Town in Kingston.
According to the police, on Wednesday about 10:15 pm, Thomas and a woman were having an argument during which Thomas threw stones at her.
Thomas then reportedly left the location and returned with a firearm which he pointed at the woman and threatened her.
The police said the woman ran and alerted officers who later arrived at the location and apprehended him.
Thomas was subsequently charged. His court date is being arranged.
