Afghanistan win toss opt to bowl v West Indies
GROS_ISLET, Saint Lucia (AFP) — Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan won the toss and chose to bowl first against the West Indies in the final Group C match of the T20 World Cup at the Daren Sammy Stadium in St Lucia on Monday.
Both teams are protecting 100 percent win records from their first three matches and both are also through to the Super Eights phase of the tournament, which starts on Wednesday.
Afghanistan have retained the same side which defeated Papua New Guinea last week but the West Indies have made two changes.
All-rounder Romario Shepherd has been given permission to return to his native Guyana for the birth of his second child. Seamer Obed McCoy takes his place, while Roston Chase is omitted in preference for batsman Shai Hope.
