#NationalTrials: Shericka Jackson wins third national 100m title
KINGSTON, Jamaica— Shericka Jackson ran a season’s best 10.84 seconds (-0.3m/s) to win her third straight women’s 100m title on Friday’s second day of the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) Nationals Championships at the National Stadium.
Jackson came from behind to power to the finish line as Tia Clayton, 10 years her junior at age 20, finished second in 10.90 seconds and Shelly Ann Fraser Pryce in possibly her final race on Jamaican soil was third in 10.94 seconds to book her ticket to yet another major global championships.
Shashalee Forbes was fourth in 11.04 seconds, followed by Kemba Nelson and Alana Reid who were both timed in 11.14 seconds, Briana Williams was seventh in 11.15 seconds and Natasha Morriosn eighth in 11.21 seconds.
