Fire leaves 13 homeless
Thirteen people, six of them children, are now homeless after a fire destroyed their house at 129 Barbican Road in St Andrew on Tuesday. A restaurant on the property was also razed.
Three units from York Park Fire Station fought the blaze which was said to have been caused by a lit candle.
