Bus conductor in video assaulting schoolgirls in police custody
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The bus conductor captured in a viral video assaulting two female students of a Corporate Area high school is now in police custody.
According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), he was escorted to the Kingston Central Police Station on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, where he was formally handed over to investigators assigned to the case.
The conductor reportedly presented himself to the Half Way Tree Police Station following contact by law enforcement.
Preliminary investigations indicate that he is the individual captured in the widely shared video, which shows an altercation involving two female students aboard a public passenger vehicle, the police said.
Noting that investigations are ongoing, the police are appealing to anyone with additional information to come forward.
The JCF said it treats incidents of violence, particularly those involving minors, with the utmost seriousness. Members of the public are encouraged to utilise lawful channels to resolve disputes and to cooperate with the police as investigations proceed.
