ST JAMES, Jamaica— Organisers promised the perfect blend of music, class, and fashion at this year’s premium Appleton Estate All White event at Reggae Sumfest, and by all indications, they delivered spectacularly.

Scores of patrons flocked to Pier One in Montego Bay, St James on Tuesday, for the highly anticipated annual event, celebrated for its world-class entertainment.

Appleton Estate, as the title sponsor of Reggae Sumfest’s All White event, delivered an unparalleled experience of music and elegance, a news release said on Friday.

Patrons adorned in their best all-white attire enjoyed expertly curated playlists from DJs Narity, Courtney, and ZJ Liquid, capturing the essence of Jamaica’s rich musical heritage and creating an unforgettable atmosphere.

This event was praised for its “standard for sophistication and celebration at Reggae Sumfest, reaffirming its status as a highlight on the festival calendar”.

DJ Narity kicked off the evening with a nostalgic set that included timeless anthems, setting a soulful tone. DJ Courtney took over, infusing the air with high-energy dancehall, gospel, and reggae rhythms that had the crowd moving in unison. ZJ Liquid brought an electrifying mix that spanned genres and eras, ensuring there was something for everyone.

The crowd’s enthusiasm was evident as they sang along to every song, their voices merging with the beats to create a unified, joyous chorus.

As the party reached its peak, the DJs skillfully transitioned from classic to contemporary hits. Songs from Valiant, Jada Kingdom, Najeeri, Rajah Wild, and Sumfest debutant Nigy Boy echoed through Pier One, bringing the evening’s entertainment to a thrilling climax in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.

The cool breeze that enveloped the pier kept the atmosphere relaxed, even as attendees let loose on the dance floor.

Robert Russell, a director and founder of Reggae Sumfest, highlighted the event’s significance.

“We want the event to remain intimate, and that’s why we continue to have it here at Pier One. We want people to maintain the camaraderie and fun that they’re used to when they’re all together at this event,” he said.

“If you look around, you will see people from all parts of the world celebrating birthdays and anniversaries with us. It is a fantastic event—really fantastic crowd, nice people, good vibe, great music, everybody dressed up pretty in their white outfits. This is the start of one of the best Reggae Sumfest years that we’re ever going to see here in Jamaica,” Russell added.
