Buju Banton to kick off US Overcomer Tour with Gramps Morgan, Fridayy

Grammy award-winning reggae artiste Buju Banton is all set to kick off his highly anticipated Overcomer US Tour this Friday at the prestigious Amerant Bank Arena in Fort Lauderdale. The concert will also feature the soulful melodies of R&B crooner Fridayy as well as the legendary Gramps Morgan.

According to Morgan, this tour is another opportunity for reggae to be promoted on an international level.

“I am absolutely elated for my brother, more so elated for our country Jamaica and our genre reggae music. This is a big step forward and will open doors for many touring artist. It will show artistes the possibilities,” he told the Jamaica Observer.

Morgan also said he is looking forward to sharing the stage with Buju Banton, more than a decade after they had gone on tour.

“This tour will bring me back many years ago when we toured together on ‘Rasta Got Soul’ tour. So here we are again 15 years later, and my heart is filled and. I’m excited to perform for people as I continue this journey of healing,” he said.

The Overcomer US Tour comes on the heels of Buju Banton historic return to the United States at UBS arena in New York. Selling out two sold-out nights, garnering over 36,000 fans under one roof, Buju Banton is set to continue this moment in history, which he is ready to take across the world.

The tour promises to be a celebration of resilience, positivity, and the power of music to uplift and inspire. Fans can expect an electrifying show filled with hits new and old, all delivered with Buju Banton’s signature charisma and infectious energy.

The tour will be heading to several states including Washington DC, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Connecticut. It runs until September 8.
