William Knibb student killed in suspected shark attack

TRELAWNY, Jamaica — A William Knibb Memorial High School student was killed at sea during a suspected shark attack on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as 16-year-old Jahmarie Reid of a Race Course, Falmouth, Trelawny address.

Reid’s headless body, with the left arm missing, was recovered from the sea in the vicinity of the Falmouth All-Age School Tuesday morning, a day after he went spear fishing and was reported missing. He had multiple bites on his body.

The Falmouth Police are investigating.
