Lifespan gets prestigious international rating

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica’s Lifespan Spring Water scored two out of three stars to grab high marks at the International Taste Institute – Superior Taste Awards.

This accolade, representing a score of between 80 and 90 per cent, highlights Lifespan Spring Water as a quality product as recognised by a panel of expert tasters.

The International Taste Institute is renowned for its rigorous evaluation of food and beverage products

“We are incredibly proud to receive this recognition from the International Taste Institute,” said Nayana Williams, chief executive officer and founder of Lifespan Spring Water.

“This award underscores our dedication to providing pure, high-quality spring water that not only meets but exceeds the expectations of our customers. It’s an affirmation of our ongoing efforts to ensure that every bottle of Lifespan Spring Water offers a refreshing and superior taste experience,” added Williams.

The Superior Taste Awards is an annual ceremony, celebrated globally for its rigorous judging process, which involves blind taste tests conducted by a panel of 250 independent expert chefs and sommeliers.

The award recognises products that successfully meet five distinct criteria: vision, olfactory, taste, final sensation and texture. These are known as the five international hedonic sensory analysis criteria.

Flowing from the Blue Mountain, Lifespan Spring Water’s product is known for its pristine quality and purity and continues to be a cornerstone of the brand’s success.

According to Williams, the company remains committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship, ensuring that its practices reflect the same high standards that are applied to its products.

“At Lifespan, we are dedicated to delivering pure, refreshing spring water sourced from the heart of nature. Committed to quality, sustainability, and innovation, we ensure that every bottle provides a crisp, clean taste while preserving the environment for future generations,” Williams said.

She added that with its recent signing of singer/songwriter Olaf Blackwood as its newest ambassador and the Superior Taste Award, the company is on the perfect path to further expand the brand to international markets, specifically the United States and Europe.
