Delivery man dies in Westmoreland crash

WESTMORELAND, Jamaica — A delivery man of Berkshire district, Westmoreland died from injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle collision on Berkshire main road in the parish on Saturday.

He has been identified as 22-year-old Romaine McLeod.

Reports are that about 11:30 pm, McLeod was driving a motorcycle along the roadway when it collided head-on with a Toyota Hiace bus that was heading in the opposite direction.

McLeod was rushed to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries on October 6. The driver of the Hiace motor bus received minor injuries and was treated. He was warned for prosecution.
