Twenty schools already into daCosta Cup round of 32
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Twenty of the 32 spots in the second round of the ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup football competition have been taken as the first round of the competition draws to a close.
Thirty-two teams will advance to the second round, the top three teams from the five zones with seven or more teams and requiring an in-zone play-off as well as the top two teams from the other eight zone will automatically qualify while the other spot will be given to the team with the best third place finish.
Another four schools are expected to qualify on Friday with another five also advancing on Saturday.
The qualifiers so far are — Cornwall College from Zone A, Mannings School from Zone C, Spot Valley High from Zone D, Belair High and Manchester High from Zone F, Christiana High and Holmwood Technical from Zone G, Glenmuir High and Garvey Maceo High from Zone I, McGrath High and Dinthill Technical from Zone J, Happy Grove, Paul Bogle High and Yallahs High from Zone L and Port Antonio High and Titchfield High from Zone M.
