JAMAICA Technology and Digital Alliance (JTDA) last week staged its flagship BizTech Conference, which took place over two days at Summit Kingston.

Deemed one of the longest-running technology conferences in Jamaica, BizTech saw its 40th staging come to an end last Thursday (November 21, 2024), having attracted a large number of in-person and virtual attendees who gathered to benefit from a number of topical issues in the tech and business arena.

Held under the theme ‘Sustainability and Scalability: Technology for the Future’, this year’s staging brought together industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and pioneers of industry locally and across the globe.

Following a welcome reception and opening of the event by JTDA President Almando Cox on the first day, the rest of the event saw a wide range of hybrid presentations, panel discussions, and live demonstrations on various topics such as productivity, data privacy, cybersecurity and generative artificial intelligence.

Business Social shares highlights from the event:

Commercial director of MC Systems Dmitri Dawkins delivers an impactful keynote address to attendees at the 2024 edition of BizTech Conference, held at Summit Kingston last week.

Kevin Cushnie (right), director of engineering at MC Systems, greets Chuck Stuart, CEO of ICONS Co Limited, based in Trinidad and Tobago, during a coffee break at the just-concluded BizTech Conference.

Following a presentation on data privacy, Chris Reckord, chairman of Jamaica’s Artificial Intelligence Task Force, takes questions from the floor.

President of JTDA Almando Cox shares in a photo with master of ceremony and PR consultant for the 2024 edition of BizTech Conference Amashika Lorne at the end the event.

Attendees gather at Summit Kingston for day two of the hybrid BizTech Conference held on November 21, 2024.
