KINGSTON, Jamaica – In what is described as an unprecedented move that underscores its unwavering commitment to empowering the next generation, the People’s National Party Youth Organisation (PNPYO), in partnership with the PNP Patriots, is set to unveil a youth manifesto that the groups said will serve as the blueprint for youth development under the next PNP administration.

According to a release from the PNP Patriots on Thursday, “the transformative document, the first of its kind in Jamaican political history, represents a bold and comprehensive vision for the economic, social, and cultural advancement of young Jamaicans.”

The release did not say when the document will be launched.

According to the PNP Patriots, the youth manifesto, crafted by young leaders from across the country, integrates the voices, ideas, and aspirations of Jamaican youth into actionable policies. “It lays out strategic initiatives designed to address the most pressing challenges facing the nation’s young people, while charting a clear path toward a prosperous and equitable future,” the release said.

“The manifesto will tackle critical issues impacting young Jamaicans, including reducing youth involvement in crime through community-centered interventions and opportunities to redirect at-risk youth toward education and employment,” it added.

“It will highlight the untapped potential of the creative and entertainment industries, proposing initiatives to formalise and expand these sectors to create sustainable careers. Incentives for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), which account for 80 per cent of employment will be prioritised to boost youth entrepreneurship, alongside a comprehensive approach to affordable housing solutions for young professionals seeking stability. This, and much more, will be part of a transformative vision aimed at equipping Jamaican youth with the tools to thrive and contribute to a brighter national future.”

“This visionary manifesto marks a turning point in Jamaican politics, affirming the PNP as the party of progress, inclusion, and opportunity. By investing in young professionals, we are not just shaping careers we are securing Jamaica’s future,” said Christopher Henry, Patriots president.

“Our youth are the heartbeat of this nation,” said Senator Gabriela Morris. “This youth manifesto is a testament to the power of their ideas, their resilience, and their determination to build a better Jamaica. The PNP is ready to lead that charge.”

“The launch of the manifesto will include consultations with young people from every corner of Jamaica, ensuring it reflects the diverse needs and ambitions of the nation’s youth. The document will serve as a cornerstone of the PNP’s platform, demonstrating a deep and actionable commitment to building a Jamaica where young people can thrive,” the release said.
