Rebel Salute scales back to 1 night Sensational 6 revealed
Rebel Salute has rolled out its line-up of the Sensational 6.
The event, scheduled for January 18 at Plantation Cove in St Ann, will feature Maxi Priest, Raheem “Valiant” Bowes, Richie Spice, Luciano, Queen Ifrica, and Tony Rebel.
According to event organiser deejay Tony Rebel, the 31st staging of the annual festival has been scaled back to one day.
“We have other things that we want to do during the year, so we have scaled back to a one-day event,” Tony Rebel told the Jamaica Observer on Thursday.
Rebel Salute, which was first held in 1994, evolved into a two-day event in 2013.
Tony Rebel hinted at the inclusion of nine more names that will complete the festival’s line-up.
We have about nine more names to release. In total we will have round 15 performers. We will also be having some cook-off competitions during the daytime, and we will still be participating in educating and entertaining the people,” said Tony Rebel.
