JCSA Manchester Chapter recognises outstanding members and sponsors
THE Jamaica Civil Service Association (JCSA) Manchester Chapter recognised more than 16 outstanding members during Civil Service Week at the Manchester Parish Library in Mandeville on November 21.
This year Civil Service Week was observed from November 17 – 23, under the theme, ‘Advancing the Vision: Building A Nation’.
“Recognition and appreciation for hard work is at the forefront of my thought process for these awards. I believe that letting people know that they are seen, heard and valued; especially when they are as dedicated, they need to be acknowledged and rewarded,” said chair of the JCSA Manchester Chapter Paulette Ferguson.
Several members of the chapter received awards and special recognition at the event. There were three categories of awards — Long Service Award, Outstanding Contribution, and Dedicated Service to the Chapter category.
Long services awardees were Shawn Whittingham, Janet Sloley, Raymond McFarlane, Mitchel Barnes-Pitter, Joan Blair, Olecia Porter, Damion Lowe, Lelia Jones, and Alexander Rowe, who was the longest-serving recipient at 31 years. Carla Morris, Garfield Myers, Bishop Boyle Outreach & Resource Centre and Courtney Morgan were all awarded for outstanding contribution. Husband and wife team, Franklin and Fay Dawkins, along with south-central regional administrator Natasha Wright-Rankin, Romario Johnson and president of the JCSA Techa Clarke-Griffiths were awarded for dedicated service to the chapter.
