‘Pappy’ caught with illegal ammo
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A labourer of Oakland Avenue, Kingston has been charged with unauthorised possession of ammunition following a seizure in the parish on Friday.
He has been identified as 32-year-old Orville Lewis otherwise called ‘Pappy’ and ‘Saviola’.
Reports are that about 6:30 pm, lawmen, acting on information, conducted a targeted operation at a premises in the area where several men were seen. Upon the approach of the police, the men ran in separate directions.
The police reportedly gave chase and the men were apprehended and searched. Two .40 hollow point rounds of ammunition were found in Lewis’s pocket.
He was arrested and subsequently charged following further investigation.
His court date is being finalised.
