Four alleged gunmen in Spalding stand-off for court Thursday

KINGSTON, Jamaica —The four alleged gunmen who surrendered to police following a tense hours-long standoff in Spalding, Clarendon on December 8 are set to appear in the gun court Thursday.

The men were charged last Thursday with possession of prohibited weapon; unauthorised possession of ammunition; shooting with intent; wounding with intent; and using a prohibited weapon to commit a felony.

Police said the court matter was transferred from Manchester to Kingston.

Charged are 26-year-old Andre Shim- Hue, otherwise called ‘3D’ or ‘Brown man’, a resident of Duke Street, Toll Gate Clarendon; 28-year-old Toney Kelly , otherwise called ‘Scobie’ or ‘Poochie’, a resident of Main Street, Toll Gate Clarendon; 28-year-old Romaine Dockery, otherwise called ‘Fungo’, a resident of Main Street, Toll Gate Clarendon; and 29-year-old Shevon Cargnagie, a resident of Dykes Hill, Sanguinetti, Clarendon.

A senior police source said two of the gunmen, who went live on social media platform TikTok pleading with police as they surrendered, sustained gunshot wounds to their hands.

Police also said four firearms, including an AK-47, were seized following the incident.

The stand-off drew a crowd of onlookers to Spalding square.
