WHEN the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR) Quality Choice Prize 2024 convention unfolded in Vienna, Austria, last December, Jamaica’s Lifespan Spring Water was among some of the top international brands being celebrated.

Selected companies, organisations, institutions and public administrations from Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa and Australia converged at the event and received the Quality Choice Prize 2024 in recognition of their exceptional success in quality management initiatives.

Nayana Williams, CEO and founder of Lifespan, was overwhelmed by the recognition.

“We have worked assiduously over the years to ensure that we abide by the highest-quality standards, and we are elated that this is being recognised. The taste and purity of our product speaks for itself,” Williams said.

“Lifespan reaps exceptional success in quality management and executes quality-oriented practices. We are confident that our consumers and the general public will continue to appreciate that.

“This award comes on the heels of Lifespan’s International Taste Institute’s Superior Taste Award where Lifespan scored between 80 and 90 per cent on markers of taste by an international panel of experts,” added Williams.

Both the convention and the awards presentation ceremony took place at Austria Trend Parkhotel Schönbrunn in Vienna.

The participating companies, institutions, public administrations and organisations had the opportunity to present and share their achievements, exchange professional experiences, propose initiatives, and network with their potential partners from the world in the event’s morning session.

The evening session was dedicated to the gala dinner and the awards presentation ceremony.

Bringing together professionals in the field of quality for the event, ESQR, through its recognition programme, is committed to recognising outstanding leadership and spreading quality culture by engaging leaders to have a more active role in it.

Awardees had the opportunity to renew their commitment to quality and get new ideas on quality management.
