Best Dressed Chicken serves up $16-m sponsorship for the Sunshine Girls

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Best Dressed Chicken has announced a three-year partnership valued at $16 million with Netball Jamaica to support the Sunshine Girls’ journey as they prepare to represent Jamaica at the 2027 World Cup in Sydney, Australia. The sponsorship will provide crucial funding and resources to Netball Jamaica, empowering the organisation to further develop the sport and support its talented athletes on their journey to international succes

“We are thrilled to partner with Netball Jamaica and invest in the future of this incredible sport,” said Avadaugn Sinclair, regional marketing manager, The Best Dressed Chicken.

“The Sunshine Girls are an inspiration to all Jamaicans, and we are excited to fuel their passion, dedication and pursuit of victory. Having previously sponsored the team; we are proud to renew our support and make a meaningful impact as they prepare for the 2027 World Cup. This sponsorship reflects our commitment to supporting national pride and promoting healthy living through sports.”

The sponsorship will include:

  • Financial Support: The Best Dressed Chicken will provide significant financial support to Netball Jamaica, enabling training programs, equipment upgrades, travel expenses and athlete development initiatives.
  • Product Provision: The Best Dressed Chicken will supply Netball Jamaica with a range of high-quality chicken products, ensuring the athletes have access to lean protein sources essential for their training and recovery.
  • Public Engagement: The Best Dressed Chicken will leverage its marketing platforms to promote Netball Jamaica and raise awareness of the sport, inspiring young athletes and fostering national support for the Sunshine Girls.

Karen Baugh, chair of the Marketing and Sponsorship Committee at Netball Jamaica, expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “This significant investment from The Best Dressed Chicken comes at a crucial time as we prepare for upcoming international competitions. The structured support over the next three years will allow us to implement long-term development programmes and provide our athletes with the resources they need to compete at the highest level. We are incredibly grateful for this partnership and look forward to working together to elevate Jamaican netball.”
