Mount Pleasant’s record winning streak snapped by Harbour View
Mount Pleasant Football Academy’s record winning steak came to an end Sunday as they went down 2-1 to Harbour View FC in the Wray & Nephew Jamaica Premier League (JPL) at the Harbour View Stadium.
Prior to the contest, the St Ann-based club registered 12 straight wins, breaking the previous record of 10 set by Arnett Gardens.
However, first half goals from Rohan Brown and Oquasso Chong gave Harbour View the surprise victory.
Mount Pleasant’s Daniel Green scored in the ninth minute of stoppage time which turned out to be a consolation.
Mount Pleasant ended with 10 men as Jahshaun Anglin was sent off after an incident with a spectator.
The back-to-back JPL finalists remain top of the table with 52 points while Harbour View jump outside the relegation zone to 12th with 19 points.
