President of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Andrew Parsons arrived in Kingston on Sunday night as he prepares to meet several sports stakeholders throughout the week.
He arrived at the Norman Manley International Airport where he was greeted by Jamaica Paralympics Association President Christopher Samuda.
Parsons, who will be on the island until Thursday, will discuss the strength and further development of parasports in the region and is expected to have discussions with Sports Minister Olivia Grange.
Parsons says Jamaica is a leader in the paralympic movement and hopes to see how he can bring the Jamaican model to other Caribbean countries.
