Jason Russell elected president of the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce
ST JAMES, Jamaica – Businessman Jason Russell has been elected the president of the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MBCCI).
The Pier One owner takes over from Oral Heaven who opted not to seek re-election for the umbrella group for commerce in the western city at an event on Wednesday evening.
Russell knocked down a challenge from Nadine Spence for the top post. Spence however has retained her seat as second vice president for the entity.
Filling up the executive is attorney Paulette Neil, who continues as first vice president from the previous term, and businessman Rick Burrows at third vice president.
There were also eight director seats that were up for election that were filled during the evening’s proceedings.
